Menges Medizintechnik Schweiz AG is expanding its portfolio in the field of angiographic imaging and presenting the Press Duo elite from Medicor, the world’s first dual-piston injector for contrast media and saline solution. The system was developed to make radiological and interventional procedures even more precise, safer and more efficient – setting new standards for modern angiography environments.
The Press Duo elite has two completely equivalent injection systems. This allows contrast medium and saline solution to be controlled flexibly and individually adjusted for each examination. Users can control all parameters such as flow rate, volume, pressure or iodine content directly via the intuitive touch control console. The integrated automatic dilution feature is particularly innovative: the device mixes contrast medium and saline solution independently via a spiral flow system, eliminating the need for manual pre-mixing. This technology even allows contrast media of different densities to be used within a single examination – an advantage that both increases efficiency and simplifies everyday medical workflows.
An improved mixing tube ensures a particularly homogeneous combination of contrast agent and saline solution, which in turn significantly increases image quality. The result is sharper angiograms, finer vessel imaging and improved detail accuracy. At the same time, precise regulation of the iodine content helps to reduce the burden on patients. The Press Duo elite thus combines high diagnostic quality with modern patient safety.
The clear touch interface, compact design and hygienic construction of the system are user-friendly and facilitate daily use in radiology departments and angiography centres. In addition, the device is compatible with a wide range of common X-ray and fluoroscopy systems, making it particularly easy to integrate into existing systems.
